With Christmas coming up, Ann Summers boss Jacqueline Gold gives us her top tips for buying your partner lingerie.
Buying lingerie for your partner is an absoulte minefield for most men. It might be for that special occasion like Christmas or Valentines Day - it might be to make your partner feel really special and to show her how beautiful you think she is.
dadzclub decided to enlist Ann Summers boss, Jacqueline Gold, for some expert advice. Now you might think of Ann Summers as being a bit racy and raunchy, but not many people know lingerie better than Jacqueline! She is also a very proud mum so talks from experience about what makes a woman feel good. We were also pleasantly suprised that it's not all PVC (etc!) in the Ann Summers collection.
So here's Jacqueline's top tips when buying lingerie for a partner:
# 1 Understand her style
Make sure you carry out some pre shopping snooping not only to find out her size, but also to see what style she likes.
You may not realise it but there isn’t just one type of bra! You can choose from balconette, plunge, strapless or halter neck and that’s just a few of the different styles available. I can assure you that you, and your other half (!) will be pleased you did your pre shopping snooping! Getting it right is guaranteed to make you both happy!
# 2 Make it match!
Every woman loves a set of beautiful matching underwear. There is nothing sexier and more confidence boosting than knowing you are wearing a gorgeous matching set under your clothes. A matching set will also show that you have really thought about the gift and not just grabbed the nearest thing to the till point!
# 3 For you or for her?
This is always the tricky area, are you buying lingerie for her or for you? You need to make sure that you buy items that you think she will want to wear. Women love to feel confident and sexy so if you are drawn to the photo of the model in the barely there silk bra and thong ; stop and think before buying whether your better half would feel sexier in a floral lace number .
Lingerie buying isn’t rocket science all it takes is a little bit of thought that will show her just how much you love her.
