Some Interesting Facts
Cadbury World first opened its doors in 1990 and now receives around 570,000 visitors each year including 80,000 school pupils.
2011 was Cadbury World’s best ever year for visitor numbers, with well over half a million visitors enjoying the delights on offer including the Cadabra ride, Bull Street and the Purple Planet.
In 2011, Cadbury World opened its brand new African Adventure themed play area, up to three storeys high with climbing zones, tube slides and tunnels, and a separate area at a lower level for the under 5s.
In 2010, Cadbury World celebrated its 20th Anniversary and marked the occasion by unveiling a new outdoor sculpture.
Advertising Avenue launched in 2009 detailing Cadbury’s rich advertising heritage with posters from the turn of the last century to the latest Cadbury television and internet adverts including a certain drumming gorilla!
Cadbury World has fourteen different zones which offer everything from learning how your favourite confectionery is made to playing in chocolate rain.
The average visit to Cadbury World normally lasts around three hours and the attraction provides places to eat, drink and shop.
Cadbury World regularly attracts celebrity visitors and was recently featured on Peter Andre’s reality television series, Peter Andre: The Next Chapter after he brought his family to the attraction. In addition, the skills of the Cadbury World chocolatiers also appeared on Britain’s Got Talent.
