  • 4 star Hilarious Sea Lions but poor lunch

    Bob (Lincolnshire)16 September 2012

    Pros: Fun, Engaging

    Cons: Poor Food

    Describe Yourself: Grandad

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend to a friend

As you'd expect a trip to Whipsnade is well worth the visit if you want to enhance your kids' development/education and have a funday out for all the fsamily. The experience of seeing the pride of lions real up close thru' the viewing glass was fantastic. The sea lions were hilarious and thoroughly enjoyed by a packed audience. Regular shows mean you don't have to wait too long if you miss one show. There is a lot to see over the extent of the park so make sure you get there early and be prepared to be home late with tired out kids and old folk. On the down side - there were more people passing thru' the fast entry gate than thru' the pay gates which slowed things down. Maybe on line ticketing needs to be improved. Sign posts for varios animal enclosures were poor and it took us an age to find the brown bears. The train ride is must to see everything. There are plenty of picnic areas around the park but food outlet facilities are scant so take a back pack if you don't want to go hungry or thirsty.
