    Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend to a friend

    As a dad, I spend hours researching the right products for our kids, especially when it comes to safety! When looking for a car seat, I wanted something that was a) comfortable b)safe c) stylish and d) would last for a number of years. The Neptune appears to fit the bill with all of these. I have a youngster (1.5) and slightly older child (8) and so tested this in both modes (ie. using the harness for the young one and then as a 'booster' for the older one. It is really easy to switch settings although not a job done in less than 10 minutes, so you either use it one way or the other but both seemed perfectly comfortable. Prob wouldn't use it on a child much older than 8 although it says it goes up to 12! I like the styling too. Appears that Chicco are appealing to the 'dad' market and some of their other products look like a sports seat from a supercar! Very cool. Did the job and would use for a number of years.

The Neptune Car Seat is suitable for Groups 1/2/3, suitable for children from 9-36kg (approx one -12 years in age).

When the seat is used in Group 1 the child must be fastened in using the car safety harness. The 5-point harness has comfortable shoulder pads and an easy to use one-pull harness adjustment. The 5 point harness can be removed and replaced by the standard car safety belts for use in Group 2 and 3.

The ergonomic adjuster makes it easy to regulate both the height of the safety belts and the headrest at the same time; this will ensure your child travels safety and comfortable as it grows. It is fitted with special side protection for your child's head and shoulder, for extra safety in case of impact; the reinforced padding in the lumbar zone and the seat guarantees extra comfort.
